Match Play
The world of tennis offers cultural enrichment and this year's camp will be no different. The emphasis will be on having fun, stroke production fundamentals and tournament preparation. Campers will learn the correct mechanics, proper court position and movement, and strategies for future on-court growth. The basic rules and techniques will be reinforced daily through team oriented games, coordination exercises and singles point play.

In addition to a rigorous tennis regimen designed to build your child's skills, the camp will feature visits by some of the area's best players and coaches. The Wiz Kids Summer Tennis Camp staff will be led by a certified USPTA professional.
Kids who partake in the summer-long tennis experience are provided with a camp t-shirt and their very own tennis racquet.

Beginners

The emphasis will be on having fun, stroke production fundamentals and developing consistency. Campers will learn the correct mechanics, proper court position and movement, and strategies for future on-court growth. The basic rules and techniques will be reinforced daily through team oriented games, coordination exercises and singles point play.

Intermediate
Routines are specifically designed to improve and strengthen strokes to produce more reliable and effective results.  Our goal is to help your child build on-court self confidence, muscle memory, service consistency, and rally sustainment through repetition drills. In-depth knowledge of the rules and scoring are provided. Physical conditioning will be combined with strategies for singles and doubles point play and match play.

Advanced
We will work to further refine stroke production, power, intensity, focus and match play skills. Heavy emphasis will be put on overcoming weaknesses through drills which will help your child advance to the next level on a team or in the rankings. Physical conditioning and mental toughness will be stressed. Strategy sessions will help campers learn when to play offense, defense and when to neutralize a shot to stay in the point. The camp's design will give your child an opportunity to improve his/her match play and tournament results.
